Governor Jerry Singson, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members Ericson Singson, Efren Rafanan, Gina Cordero, Ben Maggay, Boy Gironella, Constante Benzon, Tagudin Mayor Roque S. Verzosa Jr., San Juan Mayor Ma. Elaine Sarmiento, Santa Mayor Jesus “Popoy” Bueno Jr., Suyo Mayor Mario Subagan, Sta. Lucia Mayor Joseph Simon Valdez and Sta. Cruz Mayor Tessie Valle attended the Blessing and Inauguration of the ONE Ilocos Sur Welcome Arch at Tagudin border as part of the grand celebration of the Ilocos Sur Kannawidan Festival 2023.

The vision for the arch is expressed in a unique and exceptional architecture inspired by traditional and contemporary Ilocos Sur culture, symbols and beliefs which through its distinctive sculptural form will continue to remain relevant for the next generation.

Importantly, the Welcome Arch is an iconic sculpture: a unique form with the seal of the two cities and 32 municipalities as a representation of unity depicted by the ONE Ilocos Sur vision of Governor Jerry Singson.
