While on Listening Tour at DPWH – District II in Candon City on 16 August 2022, Governor Jerry Singson had a side trip to Brgy. Ambalayat, Tagudin. It can be recalled that the suspension bridge built in 1999 with the efforts of former Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson and then SPM Jerry Singson was destroyed by flood last October 12, 2021 when Typhoon Maring hit the province.
To recover from this, Governor Jerry Singson has bridged the condition of the bridge to DPWH and fortunately, its construction was approved. It is therefore hoped that the construction of a concrete and stronger bridge will commence soon. In addition, two boats requested by the Governor from DA-BFAR OIC National Director Nestor Domenden were provided to the Ambalayat local council led by Brgy. Captain Mhoy Lambinicio.
The bridge and boat define the governance of Governor Jerry in advancing local economic development and recovery.
